Mid-Career Pathways Programme
A structured attachment programme for mid-career professionals exploring a new sector or role. Host companies offer a monthly training allowance, supported by Workforce Singapore.

What MCP looks like
An attachment model — different from CCP's salary subsidy. The trainee receives a monthly allowance during the placement period.
Monthly allowance range
per month, depending on profile and attachment scope
Programme duration
months, varies by placement and learning plan
Programme type
traineeship-style — not a permanent hire by default
What's the monthly cost?
Estimate the WSG-supported portion of your training allowance. WSG co-funds 70% of the approved allowance for the attachment duration.
Illustrative estimate of WSG support at 70% co-funding. Actual support is confirmed by Workforce Singapore on approval.
How MCP works in practice
Unlike a traditional hire or internship, MCP follows a structured attachment model designed for mid-career exploration.
Attachment period
- Lasts between 3 to 6 months depending on the scope of the placement
- The trainee is not a permanent employee — this is a structured attachment
- Host company provides meaningful mentorship and on-the-job learning
- Both sides evaluate fit before committing to long-term employment
- Flexible structure that can be tailored to your company's needs
Monthly allowance structure
- Allowance of $1,800 to $3,800 per month, set by the host company
- Designed to cover the trainee's living expenses during the attachment
- WSG co-funds 70% of the approved allowance — confirmed at eligibility assessment
- Paid directly by the host company; WSG reimbursement follows later
- No CPF contributions required during the attachment period
