How OMIP works in practice

OMIP is designed for genuine overseas market development — not short business trips. Here is what the support covers and how it works.

Overseas posting requirements

  • The programme runs for 9 months total, with at least 6 months spent outstationed in the target market
  • The employee must be posted overseas to build international market capability for your business
  • A clear business case is required, showing how the posting supports your company's overseas strategy
  • Any overseas market qualifies as long as there is a genuine business case for the posting
  • We help shape the immersion plan and business case that WSG expects to see

Funding breakdown
