Workforce Development Grant (JR+) Singapore
The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+) funds workforce transformation projects for Singapore enterprises. SMEs receive up to 70% support (non-SMEs 50%), capped at $150,000. It covers workforce consultancy, HR capability building and technology adoption — all under a single grant application.

What is WDG(JR+) — and who is it for?
The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+) is a Workforce Singapore initiative that funds the transformation of how work is organised and performed. Where CCP and MCP support individual hires or reskilling, WDG(JR+) works at the organisational level. It funds the consultancy, capability building and technology needed to redesign roles and work processes — making them more productive, sustainable and future-ready.
The grant covers three fundable activities under a single application:
- Workforce consultancy — pre-approved consultants diagnose your workforce structure, identify gaps, and produce a concrete transformation plan.
- Capability building — onsite coaching, mentorship and structured training for your HR teams and line managers.
- Workforce tech solutions — digital HR tools tied to your project: skills diagnostics, L&D platforms, workforce analytics and AI-assisted HR systems.
SMEs receive up to 70% on qualifying costs; non-SMEs receive up to 50%. The total cap is $150,000 per enterprise — five times the limit of the PSG-JR programme that WDG(JR+) replaced in March 2026. Component-level caps also apply: $50,000 for consultancy, $60,000 for capability building, and $90,000 for workforce tech.
WDG(JR+) suits companies restructuring roles because of technology adoption, sector shifts, or a need to reduce reliance on headcount. Unlike CCP and MCP, the grant does not require hiring or reskilling a specific individual — it funds the transformation work itself. This makes it accessible before hiring decisions are finalised. Applications go through the Business Grants Portal and are assessed on your transformation plan and how strongly redesigned roles benefit local employees.

Moving from PSG-JR to WDG(JR+)
The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+) replaced the Productivity Solutions Grant – Job Redesign (PSG-JR) in March 2026. Here is what changed — and what it means for companies that previously used PSG-JR.
The old PSG-JR
- Covered job redesign consultancy only — one component, no bundling
- Capped at $30,000 per enterprise
- Up to 70% support for SMEs, 50% for non-SMEs
- Applied through the Business Grants Portal
WDG(JR+) — what changed
- Three fundable components in one application: consultancy, capability building and HR tech
- Per-enterprise cap raised to $150,000 — five times the PSG-JR limit
- Capability building and workforce tech tools now eligible under the same grant
- Past PSG-JR participants can apply, provided the new project scope differs from what was previously supported
- Same support rates — 70% for SMEs, 50% for non-SMEs — and same BGP application process
If you used PSG-JR previously, the key requirement for WDG(JR+) is that the new project scope and redesigned job roles must be materially different from your prior application. Your free consultation includes a specific check on this.
Frequently asked questions
PSG-JR capped job redesign consultancy support at $30,000. WDG(JR+) replaces it from March 2026 with a much broader scope — consultancy, capability building and HR tech tools — and a far higher cap of up to $150,000 per enterprise.
The grant is paid toward your transformation project. You pay only your co-funding portion to the pre-approved consultant, and Workforce Singapore pays its share directly to the consultant as project milestones are completed.
WSG applies the standard SME definition — broadly, a business registered and operating in Singapore with group annual sales under $100 million or fewer than 200 employees. SMEs receive up to 70% support; non-SMEs receive up to 50%.
Yes. Past PSG-JR participants can use WDG(JR+) provided the project scope and the redesigned job roles are different from what was previously supported.
Your initial eligibility assessment is free. We are transparent about any fees in your consultation, structured to make sense against the support you stand to receive.
